Walt Disney World’s new ticketing system is in full affect. And while there are plenty of advantages to the new system, it will forever change the way you visit the Orlando theme park. Here are 5 ways to maximize your visit with the new tickets:

You’ll Need to Plan Well in Advance
Now that Disney has changed it’s pricing to date-specific tickets, you’ll need to know the exact date you plan to attend as well as the exact number of days you plan on visiting.  If you’re a Disney regular, you know how important planning a Disney trip is, so this shouldn’t be a big hinderance. If you like to do things spontaneously, check out #5.

Know How Long Your Ticket Lasts
Previously all multi-day tickets could be used within 14 days of purchase. With the new ticket system, tickets purchased will have specific usage windows based on their length of visits. Guests will be able to use their tickets non-consecutively as long as they are used in the specified time frame.

Change Plans, Adjust Tickets
Everybody knows life happens, including Walt Disney World, which is why the new ticketing system allows you to modify your tickets online through My Disney Experience up until midnight of the day before your tickets are set to begin. Now you don’t have to worry about your tickets when something comes up.

See Budget-Friendly Options
In an effort to showcase less-expensive tickets, Disney now highlights the most budget-friendly tickets available. Guests can simply click a button on the calendar and see what dates are the least expensive to visit. This is great if you don’t have a set date in mind, but just want to visit.

Flexible Date Ticket Option
In addition to the above-mentioned tickets, there is also a flexible ticket option, which essentially gives you what the old ticket system did, but for a price. If you’re not quite sure when you’re going to visit the park, this is an excellent option, but once the ticket has been used, guests have 14 days to use their tickets after first use.
